Our food pantry has a food giveaway the first Friday of every month. Funded mainly by Second Harvest in Spartanburg, SC, our goal is to help feed families in our community who are having problems putting food on their tables on a daily basis.
Our pantry is one of seven supported by Second Harvest, with our clearing house located at Mon Aetna Baptist Church. We work together to help those who are experiencing food insecurities in our neighborhood.
If you would like to help with the food pantry, we are always in need of non-perishable foods. We pack boxes on the Thursday before the first Friday of every month, starting about 3:30 (we pick the food up from Mon Aetna at 3:00) and begin distributing the food on the first Friday from 2:00pm-3:30pm. We always need helpers and welcome anyone who has a servant's heart and wants to relieve hunger in our area.
